Angel of Light

There is an angel here,
guiding all our paths.
Passing through futility,
asking us to laugh.
The sunshine she bathes in,
wreathed in smiles.
Fights fire with love,
engineers truth
from rockets of energy,
through the silence she came
and called out our names,
asking she beseeched
to listen to her speech.
His name is Christ
who cleansed all wounds,
who preached love.
Humility is with us soon.
Through darkness and struggle to learn his way.
Even when we think we fail he calls again.
In the rainfall or the sunshine.
He pleads me to answer.
He asks us to listen to the silence.
Yet even through tears the better way comes,
a pure diamond from heaven throwing away our fear.
Back onto the straight and narrow.
If we stop to listen, Yahweh comes.
I am lost and found, deserted and destined,
we are angels of fortune seeking the light,
each one of us a star in our own right,
thankful to the angel of light.
